Wyndham Profit Up on Growth Across Business Lines

Wyndham Worldwidesaid on Tuesday quarterly net profit rose, helped by a 13% rise in revenue on strong growth across its key businesses.

Net income at the hospitality company rose to $92 million, or 48 cents a share, from $91 million, or 45 cents a share, in the year-ago period.

The company, which was spun off from Cendant in July, reported adjusted earnings for the quarter of 44 cents a share. Analysts on average expected 40 cents per share before exceptional items, according to Reuters Estimates.
