"For Sale" Sign Not Out At Cadbury

While there's been plenty of market talk to the contrary, Cadbury Schweppes is not for sale, Chief Executive Todd Stitzer told CNBC's Melissa Lee during "Morning Call".

"Cadbury Schweppes is certainly not for sale," Stitzer said. "We have a great company and we go from strength to strength."

Takeover speculation has long been connected to the confectionery company. Most recently, the chatter has focused on it being a target for Kraft Foods, Hershey, and a host of private equity players.

Stitzer said the company is doing well despite last year's salmonella scare, which forced it to recall contaminated chocolate bars. He said Cadbury's market share position and volumes have returned to levels existing before the scare.
