Ford Sees Sharp Drop in U.S. March Sales, Blames Pickup Trucks

Ford Motor's U.S. vehicle sales in March will likely be down by double digits, the automaker's chief sales analyst George Pipas said this morning.

The No. 2 U.S. automaker's retail sales will also likely be down in March because of weak F-Series pickup truck sales, Pipas told Reuters.

Pipas also said fleet sales, including sales to daily rental companies, would be down this month.

Automakers are scheduled to report March U.S. sales on Tuesday.
