European Stocks to Watch: Kesa Electricals

Shares in Kesa Electricals gained 4.8% as interest in one of the retailer's subsidiaries mounted. Keas said it received a number of indications of interest to buy the French furniture and electrical retail unit called BUT.

Kesa said it is in very early stages of evaluation and the sale is far from a done deal. The statement adds to recent press speculation on a potential sale of the unit.

Greene King (Up 7.9%) The U.K. pub-chain operator shook off a negative trading day Monday, on the back of the smoking ban in England, as it posted a 17% rise in full-year pretax profit.

Oce (Up 10.2%) The Dutch photocopier and printer reported a 50% rise in second-quarter net profit and forecast higher second-half sales, compared to the year-ago period.

Sogecable (Down 3.1%) Shares of the Spanish TV company were among the worst performers on Spain's IBEX on speculation it is to lose its television rights for 21 football teams in the Spanish League, according to Reuters.
