The idea behind Spanx is simple--to remove the foot from pantyhose. She’s been featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," The Today Show," Forbes Magazine and the list goes on. What is so inspirational about Sara is that she only had $5,000 dollars at her disposal in order to start her own business. She cut costs by doing her homework: after her day job, she hit the library in order to research patents. She even wrote the original patent for Spanx!
