Dunkin' Donuts to Switch to Trans Fat-Free Menu

Restaurant company Dunkin' Brands said Monday that all its menu offerings in its Dunkin' Donuts restaurants will be free of artery clogging trans fat by Oct. 15 this year.

The company also said all ice cream products at its Baskin-Robbins chain will be trans fat free by Jan. 1, 2008.

The company said it has already tested trans fat free doughnuts in about 400 restaurants throughout the United States, over a period of four months.

It already serves trans fat free doughnuts in Philadelphia and New York City.
