Health Insurers Looking Healthy

The health insurers are poised to breakout ahead of Cigna (CI) earnings this Friday.

Cigna has beat its earnings six of the last six quarters, Carter Worth said. It’s got a healthy looking chart and he would get long CI before it reports.

And while shares of Aetna (AET), Humana (HUM) and Cigna have all been weighed down by the fear of a democratic government, AET and HUM did report profits that beat the Street last week. Jeff Macke called the insurers “not hugely exciting” but workable as trades against the political trend.
