CA Expects Fiscal Year Revenue to Rise 5% - 7%

Software maker CA said on Monday it expects to report fiscal-year 2008 profit before items of $1.06 to $1.10 per share.

The company also expects revenue to climb 5 percent to 7 percent to between $4.15 billion and $4.2 billion during the year, and forecast cash flow from operations of $1.05 billion to $1.1 billion.

CA issued the forecasts at an investor conference in New York that was broadcast over the Web.

Chief Executive John Swainson said the company is currently succeeding in getting customers to renew virtually every software contract when it expires.
