Live From CES: Dozens of Hours of NBC Universal Programming to Broadcast from the Floor of the World's Largest Consumer Technology Tradeshow

NEW YORK, NY – January 4, 2008 – NBC Universal, the first-ever official broadcast partner of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), announced today its programming line-up for live broadcasts from this year's world-renowned show in Las Vegas January 7-10.

On Monday, January 7, Brian Williams will anchor NBC Nightly News from "Broadcast Central" at the NBCU booth. Immediately after the live broadcast, Williams will unveil a new NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams experience online, available at www.nightlynews.msnbc.com. The redesigned site will give the growing Nightly News online audience an immersive and visually compelling TV-like viewing experience. Nightly News will broadcast live at 6:30 p.m. (ET)/ 3:30 p.m. (PT) from the show floor.

For TODAY, Al Roker will be live from the show floor for the start of the event Monday morning, and tech guru, Paul Hochman, will share with viewers the show's cutting-edge technology as well. CNBC's Bill Griffeth and Maria Bartiromo will anchor Power Lunch and Closing Bell respectively from the booth and reveal the business talk behind the tech. CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch: "Insider's Guide to Success" will air Wednesday, January 9 at 10 p.m. & 1 a.m. (ET). Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell will identify the must-have new gadgets for both the glitterati and the technorati and Chicago's own Ereka Vetrini will report the buzz from the show floor live on Tuesday for In the Loop with iVillage's audience. Live news from the show will be seen throughout each day on MSNBC and Telemundo. The NBC-owned stations will have unique local coverage on-air and online from the CES floor. In addition, bloggers from NBC News, MSNBC, SCIFI, Access Hollywood and iVillage will also be reporting in real-time and posting their comments to a brand-new site created especially for CES, http://nbcuatces.com/. This destination will be a touchpoint for information about NBCU's CES programming as well as capture the action of the show. In addition, NBC's Peacock Productions will be working with the Consumer Electronics Association to provide daily feeds of all of the new products unveiled and any breaking news throughout the show to broadcast stations around the country.

Located in the heart of the CES floor, the NBCU booth (Central 12533) is a 5400 square foot experiential platform that will showcase content in five primary areas: Entertainment, Lifestyle, Sports/Olympics, News/Business and International. Key features include video displays, two fully working live broadcast stages and interactive kiosks where free, downloadable content is available for attendees to place on complimentary flash drives provided by SanDisk.
