Engineering and construction company Fluor posted a jump in second-quarter profit, boosted by an asset sale and strong demand from the energy sector, and increased its full-year profit forecast.
Shares of the company jumped more than 5 percent in extended trading Monday.
Net earnings rose to $209 million, or $1.13 per share, from $96 million, or 53 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.
Operating profit more than doubled to $392 million.
