Lightning Round: Transocean, Verizon, Deere and More

DryShips : Cramer can’t get behind this shipping company right now. Even his favorites of the group – Frontline and Nordic American – aren’t doing that well. But he likes FRO and NAT because they’re balance sheets are strong.

Deere : Cramer’s bullish on Deere. Business is good and the stock is cheap.

Novartis : Cramer likes drug stocks right now. Novartis is a buy, he said.

ABB : Cramer likes the stock, but ABB has taken a beating of late. Don’t buy until the hedge funds are done their selling.

Allied Irish Bank : Anything related to European banking is in “total bear market mode,” Cramer said, so stay away from AIB.

Anadarko : Natural gas stocks are so low Cramer recommended picking a name like Anadarko and buying it. Hedge-fund selling has driven prices too far down.

Emerson : Emerson, like most industrial companies, is down in this market, so Cramer won’t recommend it.

Verizon : Cramer said he likes VZ and its 6.5% yield.

Goodyear : “The car business is so horrible,” Cramer said, “I’m not a buyer.”

Transocean : RIG is up so take profits, Cramer said.

Jim's charitable trust owns Deere.
