With Number Change, LeBron Changes Signature

Anyone who has seen LeBron James’ signature knows that he begins his signature with an “L” and “B” that look like his uniform number “23.” But with his number changing to “6,” James has now changed his John Hancock to a more traditional beginning — adding the number at the end of his name.

“It just feels right,” James told Upper Deck, who has had his exclusive memorabilia deal since his rookie season.

Upper Deck is selling Miami Heat logoed basketballs signed by James (limited to 100) for $899.99 and autograph 16 by 20 “Welcome to Miami” photos for $699.99.

A number change is also expected to change his Nike logo, which also has the “23” incorporated into it.
