Fast Exclusive: K-Call Preview

On Monday, HP was the only stock in the Dow 30 to end in positive territory - mainly on enthusiasm surrounding a $3 billion dollar buyback.

But as history shows - buybacks rarely mark the bottom in a stock.

That is the focus of Tuesday’s "Kaminsky's Call" blog -- says veteran trader Gary Kaminksy in an exclusive first look.

"When the news came out about the HP buyback there was excitement," Kaminksy tells the desk. "But history tells us that after large cap tech companies announce buy backs their stocks underperform on a relative and absolute basis thereafter."

"I look at the buy back as a desperate move by HP to prop up the stock related to all the uncertainty in that company specifically."

Sounds like Gary isn't a fan of buying HP right here.
