S&P 500 Earnings Leaderboard: Biggest Surprises Season to Date

As of earlier today, over 70% of the S&P 500 companies have reported earnings.

Here's how things stand so far:

  • Companies Exceeding EPS Estimates: 76%
  • Companies Matching EPS Estimates: 7%
  • Companies Falling Below EPS Estimates: 17%

Keycorp has had the biggest percent surprise to the upside followed by Lennar . In absolute dollars, Bank of America leads with a surprise of over $1.1 billion, followed by Microsoft's $606 million and Apple's $512 million surprises.
