TRADE UPDATE: OPEN TABLE
As you may remember on Friday October 29th Whitney Tilson of T2 brought two short ideas to the desk one of which was OpenTable.
But in the wake of stronger than expected earnings shares surged. In fact they’re about 20% higher over the past five days.
Seems like a good time to check back with Tilson on this short.
He tells us, “the market has been ripping and OpenTable has been ripping with it. But I’ve added to my short position on the gains. I expect the laws of gravity to catch up with this stock."
Last week he told the desk, ”Fair value is well south of a 50% decline. I think intrinsic value is in the mid-20’s.”

FAST FLASH: APPLE. QUALCOMM
Shares of Apple led tech higher and hit a new all time highs closing above $318 on Thursday while chip maker Qualcomm led chip stocks higher on the back of its strong earnings report.
What’s the tech trade?
I’m staying with Apple at least for a little bit longer, says Karen Finerman.
As for Qualcomm, I think valuations are getting stretched, says Guy Adami. I’d take profits and look to buy it lower.
