MHA Acquires the MED Group

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), a leading Health Care Service Company focused on Alternate Site health care providers, is pleased to announce the acquisition of The MED Group (MED), Lubbock, Texas. The MED Group is a Group Purchasing, Business Solutions and Network Management company that assists home care providers in lowering their overall purchasing costs. MED also helps provider members improve efficiencies in educational training, reimbursement, accreditation, certification, logistics and other operational areas. The company will continue to operate under the MED Group name and will remain based in Lubbock, Texas. Bill Elliott, the MED Group CEO, will be resigning from his position, but will remain as a consultant to assist with the transition. All other members of the MED Group management team will be joining MHA in full-time capacities.
