No. 1 Tech Analyst Gene Muster’s Top 3 Trades

All this week Fast Money is checking in with the Street's top analysts to get you their top 3 trades for 2011.

Widely followed tech analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray suggests the following for your radar!

AMAZON

Although valuations in this stock are lofty to say the least (currently about 60 times next years earnings) Musnter says hold your nose and dive into Amazon .

”I think it’s about owning the theme here,” he says. "Currently 6% of what’s bought in the US, excluding gas and groceries, is bought online. That number could be 20% in the next few years. “

And Amazon is the dominant player - with no direct peers.

----------

MERCADO LIBRE

Sometimes called the eBay of Latin America, Munster likes this Buenos Aires based company for its home field advantage; they understand the Latin market.

”Mercado Libre a great derivative emerging market play,” he says, ”Latin American consumers are very cost conscious,” he adds, “and the fact that this company has a price advantage is a huge competitive advantage.”

----------

APPLE

We ran out of time on TV, but ahead of the broadcast Munster told us his third pick was Apple . That probably comes as no surprise; Munster is one of the best known and widely followed Apple bulls out there. According to the WSJ, "Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster has a 12-month price target of $431 on Apple."

Among the many catalysts he cites for Apple is the impact that Verizon could have on the iPhone. Click here to go to "Munster: Street Doesn’t Understand Verizon Impact On Apple"

TAKE YOUR POSITION: BEST BUY

The traders are taking their positions ahead of Best Buy earnings Tuesday after the bell. For what it’s worth, Best Buy was one of the most visited retail sites this past Black Friday.

How should you trade it?

I’ll be watching for what they say about TV sales, says Brian Kelly. I'm hearing chatter that there amy be an inventory build.

I like the company long-term, says Zach Karabell, but I wouldn’t expect it to make a big move on the earnings.

In the options markets I’m seeing nerves to the upside, counters Pete Najarian. I suspect we see a bigger move than Zach thinks.
