Colgate-Palmolive announced today an increase in the company's quarterly stock cash dividends by 9 percent, effective by the second quarter of 2011.
The new quarterly rate is 58 cents per share, up from 53 cents.
The annual dividend rate is now $2.27 per share, up from $2.03 previously.
Colgate , which has paid out uninterrupted dividends since 1895, will pay out the second quarter dividends on May 16 to shareholders on record as of April 26.
