POPS (stocks that jumped higher)
3M (MMM) popped 2%. And article in Barron’s said shares of the company are about to hit a sweet spot, thanks to a blizzard of new products and the rising popularity of 3M’s wares outside the U.S.
Potash (POT) popped 2%. Gleacher upgraded the fertilizer company to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ citing strong industry fundamentals. - I think valuations are still cheap, says Tim Seymour.
Nucor Steel (NUE) popped 2%. Analysts at Argus initiated coverage on this stock with a ‘Buy’ and a $57 price target.
DROPS (stocks that slid lower)
First Solar (FSLR) dropped 5%. - UBS downgraded shares to 'Neutral' from 'Buy' - I think the space is a stay away, says Brian Kelly.
HSBC Holdings (HBC) dropped 5%. The company posted full-year earnings that missed analyst estimates and said it would reduce its profitability target. - I'm a buyer at $53.50, says Guy Adami.
Salesforce (CRM) dropped 7%.A Wall Street Journal article said “when you follow the numbers the picture isn't as good as it should be.” - Technically it looks like the stock is breaking down, says Joe Terranova,
