Shares of Chipotle Mexican Grillreached 37 new record highs so far this year, the most in the S&P 500.
So far in 2012 (58 trading sessions), the S&P Index is up nearly 13 percent, with nine new 52-week highs under its belt.
That compares to Chipotle, which is up about 26 percent, and touched new record-high levels about 64 percent of the time this year. The second place goes to Apple, with 26 record highs.
