Obama Health-Care Law a ‘Debacle’: Gov. Perry

The recently upheld health-care lawis ‘a debacle’ that will cost the states substantial amounts of money, Texas Gov. Rick Perry told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

The Republican governor said President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress misrepresented the health-care law.

“They told us it wasn’t going to be a tax," he said. "They told us it wasn’t going to infringe upon the 10th Amendment rights of the states. And then they read it, and we found out that it is absolutely a debacle.”

The Republican governor of Florida, Rick Scott, agreed.

“It’s going to be horrible for patients, it’s going to ration care, the tax increases are ridiculous," Scott said. "It’s going to put American businesses — Florida businesses — at a significant cost disadvantage. So it’s going to be horrible for jobs, which is the biggest issue we have in this country.”
