The House overwhelmingly opposed the latest Republican immigration bill on Wednesday, leaving Congress no closer to solving a thorny issue that has bewildered lawmakers for years. The measure, which came about after weeks of negotiations among Republicans, easily failed in a 301 to 121 vote.
