Former Obama health advisor on his study comparing coronavirus death rates in the U.S. and abroad

"It turns out the United States did extraordinarily bad, even compared to places like Italy," Dr. Zeke Emanuel, vice provost of Global Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania and former White House health policy advisor under President Obama, told CNBC's "Squawk Box" Tuesday. "We had from May 10 to [Oct 13] roughly 90,000 more deaths than we should have had we followed Italy's course."
