Barry Diller: Social media companies are publishers now

"They are publishers now," Barry Diller, chairman and senior executive of IAC and Expedia, told CNBC's "Squawk Box" Wednesday. "Once they removed [content], once they began that, they are publishers. Since they are publishers, the question is what do we need to do?"
