Half of Myanmar's population will live on a dollar a day or less within a year: UNDP

The coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing political turmoil will drive the poverty rate of Myanmar to a level not seen in decades and the situation there is very "worrying", says Kanni Wignaraja of the United Nations Development Programme.
