Covid immunity wanes 6 months after the Pfizer vaccine
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla joins The Exchange to discuss new developments with his company's Covid vaccine, one of the two mRNA vaccines approved for emergency use in the U.S. The company is reporting new data about waning immunity and protection against severe disease six months after getting the shot. Because of this, the company hopes for FDA emergency authorization for a booster dose. "They take the data very seriously," Bourla says about the FDA emergency authorization approval process.
