Biden administration to release 50M barrels of oil from SPR to combat rising gas prices

The national average for gas prices has leveled off around $3.41 per gallon, according to AAA. That's up $1.29 over last year at this time and about $0.81 over 2019 prices, according to AAA. Today, the White House announced it's tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in an effort to provide consumers relief from rising gas prices.
