Tesla makes first deliveries of long-awaited and controversial Cybertruck

Tesla CEO Elon Musk took the stage to reveal details about the company's new and unconventional Cybertruck pickup on Thursday in Austin, Texas. Elon Musk first promoted the Cybertruck at an "unveiling" event in 2019 and has since lamented about the "unique complexities" in making and bringing the sci-fi inspired vehicle to market. Competing automakers including Ford, General Motors and Rivian have all begun making and selling electric pickups since the Cybertruck was first unveiled, beating Tesla to the market.
