If you have something you would like to discuss with Apple CEO Tim Cook, here's your chance.
CharityBuzz—a New York-based for-profit company that works with non-profits to raise money—has partnered with Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights to auction off a coffee break with Cook at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.
So far, the coffee break is going for $560,000. The encounter was originally estimated to be worth $50,000.
The fundraising campaign began Wednesday and will end on May 14. All proceeds will go to the RFK center.
Apple reported better-than-expected earnings Tuesday and announced it is increasing the capital returned to shareholders to $100 billion by the end of 2015. But it said the company is not tapping its cash reserves to increase its dividend or share buyback program. Instead, the company is taking on debt so that it can avoid getting taxed on its offshore cash hoard.
Perhaps whoever wins the auction can ask Cook just what exactly he plans to do with the $145 billion the company still has in reserve. Or maybe they can just get us a release date for Apple TV.
