Windows-like 'blue screen of death' striking iPhone 5s?

Apple's iPhone 5s apparently has a very Windows-like feature.

A number of incidents have been reported in which users accessed multiple iWork apps simultaneously, with the iPhone 5s then flashing the "blue screen of death" (BSOD) and crashing.

Some users are also reporting that their device is randomly rebooting while in use.

The problem, which was first reported by The Verge, has been mentioned on some threads on Apple's support forum and by some Twitter users.

Users have found a few frustrating glitches since it rolled out iOS 7, including iMessage's not working properly. It also had some security bugs, which Apple addressed with the rollout of iOS 7.0.2.

CNBC reached out to Apple for comment, but did not immediately receive a reply.
