Editors at U.S. News & World Report revealed their annual list of the best hotels in America based on class ratings, awards and guest satisfaction.

Out of 1,775 luxury hotels these are the top 10 best hotels in the U.S.

10. Auberge du Soleil

Up 25 spots from last year's list, Auberge du Soleil in California's Napa Valley has received back-to-back Michelin stars for 10 consecutive years.

The hotel features an Asian-inspired yoga pavilion, a spa and a large sculpture garden.

The standard room at Auberge du Soleil is 520 square feet, and room and suite prices range from $600 to $5,200 per night based on seasonality and availability.  

9. Waldorf Astoria

The Waldorf Astoria in Chicago is renowned for its customer service and expansive hotel rooms, which average 890 square feet, according to the hotel.

Rooms feature fireplaces, furnished outdoor terraces and bathrooms with a soaking tub, separate shower and dual vanities. Guests also have complimentary access to the hotel's spa.

Standard room prices range from $350 to $700 per night, but suites can cost upward of $1,000 per night. 

8. Mandarin Oriental

The Mandarin Oriental hotel in Las Vegas may not have a casino, but it does have a two-story spa inspired by 1930s Shanghai.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the Vegas strip and features 335 guestrooms and 57 suites — ranging from 850 to 3,100 square feet.

The Mandarin Oriental is a Forbes triple five-star luxury hotel. Standard room prices range between $270 and $550 per night while suites can cost upward of $1,499.

7. The Langham

Situated on the riverfront near downtown Chicago, the Langham is minutes from popular city landmarks like the Loop, Grant Park, Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park. 

The hotel has 268 guestrooms and 48 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows with prices that start between $300 and $500 a night for a standard room, but cost upward of $1,000 depending on availability and time of year.

The Langham has three dining areas, a spa and fitness center, and 15,000 square feet of event space. 

6. Montage Palmetto Bluff

The Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina features a nature preserve, walking trails, a marina and a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course set within a 20,000 acre development.

The hotel and resort has four restaurants, freshwater and saltwater fishing, a shooting club, and a spa, gym and salon.

Standard room prices range from $350 to $750 per night, but suites and special offers can cost upward of $2,000 nightly.

5. The Peninsula Beverly Hills

The Peninsula in Beverly Hills, California, has been rated AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star since 1993 and features 195 guestrooms, 38 suites and 17 private villas.

The hotel's restaurant, The Belvedere, has won the AAA Five Diamond Award for 21 consecutive years and features Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

Standard room prices range from $635 to $1,000 nightly, but deluxe suites will cost upward of $2,400 per night.

4. Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii has been awarded the TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award and has been listed on Conde Nast Traveler's reader's choice list. 

The resort features black lava landscapes and white sand beaches as well as seven swimming pools, five oceanside restaurants and a 28,000-square-foot spa.

Standard room prices range from $890 to $1,500 per night, but suites and special promotions — like unlimited golf course access — can cost upward of $5,000 nightly.

3. Aria Sky Suites

A winner of the Forbes Five-Star Award and AAA Five Diamond Award, the Aria Sky Suites in Las Vegas feature private key elevator entry, access to more than 2,000 electronic newspapers, and complimentary iPad and laptop use.

The hotel's suites range from 1,050 square feet for a one-bedroom and up to 2,060 square feet for a two-bedroom suite. Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Vegas strip.

Standard room rates range from $360 to $800 per night depending on availability and time of year, however specialty suites can cost between $3,500 and $7,500 nightly.

2. The Jefferson

Just a few blocks from the White House in historic Washington, D.C., is The Jefferson, a 95-room boutique hotel with 23 suites and a petite spa.

The nearly 100-year-old hotel pays homage to its namesake with its collection of original Thomas Jefferson-signed documents, antiques and period artifacts.

Standard room rates range from $350 to $600 per night, but can cost upward of $850 nightly for suites. However, if you want to book the Martha Jefferson Suite or the Thomas Jefferson Suite you'll have to contact the hotel directly.

An annual recipient of the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond awards since 2001, the Lodge at Sea Island in Georgia is a golfer's paradise.

The property has 40 guestrooms that are surrounded by Sea Island's golf club — two 18-hole championship courses. The hotel has a bagpiper that plays every night at sunset and guests can take bagpiper lessons on-site.

Standard room rates range from $375 to $730 per night, but can cost upward of $2,100 nightly for specialty suites.
