Vegans and lactose-intolerant folks can finally get their hands on Ben & Jerry's one-of-a-kind flavors. The Vermont-based ice cream company is launching a line of non-dairy products in the coming months that are certified vegan by Vegan Action.
Ben & Jerry's will soon offer almond-milk versions of Chunky Monkey and Chocolate Fudge Brownie and will be adding two exclusive new flavors: Coffee Caramel Fudge and P.B. & Cookies.
Here's a rundown of what each flavor contains:
- P.B. & Cookies: Vanilla with Chocolate Sandwich Cookies & Crunchy Peanut Butter Swirls
- Coffee Caramel Fudge: Coffee with Fudge Chunks & Caramel Swirls
- Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Chocolate with Fudge Brownies from Greyston Bakery
- Chunky Monkey: Banana with Fudge Chunks & Walnuts
"Creating these new flavors with a Non-Dairy base composition that meets the high expectations of Ben & Jerry's consumers was quite a challenge," Kirsten Schimoler, the "flavor guru" behind the new vegan line, said in a statement.
Pints of the vegan line-up are slated to retail for $5.69 each and can be found at Ben & Jerry's scoop shops nationwide.
Shares of Tofutti Brands, which makes its own line of non-dairy ice creams, fell 7.5 percent following the Ben & Jerry's news.
