These are the publicly-traded U.S. stocks owned by Warren Buffett's holding company Berkshire Hathaway, as reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission in filings made available to the public. There are times when Berkshire asks for, and receives, the SEC's permission to temporarily withhold data on some stock holdings. Click on a header to sort by that column. Clicking twice will reverse the order of the sort.
Holdings are as of March 31, 2022 as reported in Berkshire Hathaway's 13F filing on May 16, 2022, except for:
- Activision Blizzard, which is an approximation based of Warren Buffett's statement on April 30, 2022 during the Berkshire shareholders meeting that the company owns a 9.5% stake in the company
- Amazon.com, which is adjusted for a 20-for-1 stock split that took effect before the start of trading in June 6, 2022.
- Apple, Bank of America, Bank of New York Mellon, Citigroup, Diageo, Markel, and U.S. Bancorp, which also include shares held as of March 31, 2022 as disclosed in New England Asset Management's 13F filing on May 16, 2022
- HP, which is as of April 6, 2022 and also includes shares held as of March 31, 2022 as disclosed in New England Asset Management's 13F filing on May 16, 2022
- Occidental Petroleum, which is as of June 23, 2022
In addition, shares held as of December 31, 2020 of two non-U.S. companies are included, as listed in Buffett's 2020 annual letter to shareholders: BYD (China) and Itochu (Japan). The price of those shares in U.S. trading is used to approximate the current market value of the positions. For these two stocks only, the value of the stake as a percentage of each company's market value is fixed at what was listed as of December 31, 2020 in the letter.
