Watch Fed Chair Jerome Powell's news conference live after central bank leaves rates unchanged

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell spoke with the press after the central bank concluded its two-day policy meeting Wednesday. 

The Fed kept rates unchanged but opened the door to future easing down the road by dropping the word "patient" from its statement. Markets were left about unchanged in volatile trading as traders seek more clues from Powell as to whether the central bank will actually cut rates this year.

Powell holds the sessions after each Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
