Bayard Winthrop

Bayard Winthrop, co-founder and CEO, American Giant 

Bayard Winthrop founded American Giant after spending nearly 20 years running businesses in the consumer products space. He began his career in corporate finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, but left investment banking for a career as a business leader and innovator. He has held key leadership positions at a variety of brands, including Atlas Snow-Shoe (sold to K2 Sports), WebChat Broadcasting System (sold to Disney), Freebord Manufacturing (privately held), and Chrome Industries (privately held). In addition to co-authoring I F**king Love That Company (with Randy Komisar of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers), Bayard has shared his story with everyone from the likes of global leaders at Google Zeitgeist to leading a panel in front of the U.S. Senate about the state of U.S. manufacturing.
